Pedagogy/Outreach
My teaching philosophy is centered on inquiry-based learning achieved through strategies of observation and environmentally engaged arts practices. My role as a teacher is facilitating curiosity and discoveries of wonder; valuing knowledge as what is felt and experienced. I explore this through walking: used symbolically and enacted actually in the classroom through outdoor teaching and walking (as a learning tool and arts practice) referencing what Pablo Helgeura calls Transpedagogy.
